Buying receivers for a whoop

ExpressLRS (ELRS) is the default radio link for new pilots: long range, fast and inexpensive. A nano receiver only matters if your flight controller doesn't already have one.

Check before you buy

  • ELRS 2.4 GHz to match most radios sold today.
  • Size and weight for your frame.
  • A board with a free UART to wire it to.
Does my radio need to match the receiver?
Yes: same protocol (ELRS) and compatible firmware versions. Bind with the same binding phrase.
Is ELRS range overkill for a whoop?
The range is more than you'll use, but the solid link and low latency help even indoors.
