What we collect

• Account data, email, name, a hashed password when you register, and a last-active timestamp from signed-in sessions.
• Order data, shipping address, items purchased, and payment references processed by Razorpay (we do not store card or UPI credentials).
• Cart data, saved cart items for signed-in users, and local cart data in your browser until you clear it.
• Newsletter, email address if you opt in on the blog.
• Back-in-stock alerts, email address and product interest if you ask to be notified when an out-of-stock part returns to The Bench.
• Technical data, standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.

How we use it

We use your data to fulfil orders, manage your account, send service-related updates about orders you place, send back-in-stock notices you requested, improve the site, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & sessions

Signing in sets a session cookie so you stay logged in for 30 days. After that you will be asked to sign in again. Cart data may be stored in local storage. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.

Third parties

Payments are handled by Razorpay under their privacy terms. Hosting and database providers process data on our behalf to run the service.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of account data by contacting support. Unsubscribe from the newsletter or back-in-stock alerts by emailing us from the address you used to sign up.
