Buying cameras & vtx for a whoop

Analog whoop cameras and VTXs are cheap, light and have the lowest latency. Digital systems (Walksnail, DJI) look much better but cost more and need matching goggles.

Check before you buy

  • Analog or digital, and that it matches your goggles.
  • Weight: every gram counts on a 65 mm whoop.
  • VTX power you need: 25 mW is plenty indoors.
Analog or HD for my first whoop?
Analog. It's lighter, cheaper to crash and works with affordable goggles. Move to HD when you fly outdoors and want recordable footage.
What VTX power should I use indoors?
25 mW. More power just adds heat and interference with other pilots.
